Introducing The Awesome Richard Mille RM028 Americas Automatic Diver Watch Replica

Being essentially a redecorated version of the original Richard Mille RM028 deluxe diver watch replica, the RM 028 Americas differs from its progenitor with a couple of strokes that make the timekeeper even more luxurious.

Diving season in the Northern hemisphere is only ahem four months away and the Swiss watchmaker is going to soon start selling its new Richard Mille RM028 Americas limited edition automatic diving watch.

Firstly, the huge titanium case now features scratch-resistant black DLC treatment.

Secondly, the new black and red color scheme makes the watch a lot more appealing to those who have never seen a wet-suit.

Watches made by Richard Mille traditionally feature not only sporty, but also very technical appearance, and this refreshed device is no exception here. As you can see on the photos, besides a complex-looking bezel that features a nice take on a traditional diving scale, its case makes an impression of a very sophisticated job that probably took a lot of expensive machinery to be manufactured. Sporting 22 torque screws, integrated lugs and a bright red rubber strip on its traditionally huge setting crown, the watch looks more like a weapon than a prohibitively overpriced trinket.

Take into account though that, measuring 47 millimeters in diameter (and that doesn’t even include its terribly long lugs that house an integrated black rubber strap,) the Richard Mille RM028 skeleton copy watch will dwarf a wrist of a normal human being. If you don’t happen to be a certain Sylvester Stallone, you should probably stay away from this mechanical monster even if you have financial means to fund the purchase.

Together, these design solutions ensure the diver’s water resistance rating of healthy 300 meters.

But, frankly, I can’t imagine a sane man using the $82,000 limited edition job as a tool watch.

Featuring a double spring barrel design, the movement stores enough energy to keep the piece going for as long as 55 hours.

Animated by the same RMAS7 extensively skeletonized automatic caliber that powered their RM029 model, the RM 028 Americas features the brand’s signature variable geometry winding rotor.

Typically, the system consists of a pair of wings that can be adjusted in six positions, a flange and arms, and a tungsten/cobalt alloy weight segment that increases the oscillating mass of the highly skeletonized rotor.

The design lets it easily adjust the watch for the lifestyle that you enjoy, whether it is a desk-diving or an exciting life full of real extreme.

Kudos, of course, go to the extremely wide hour and minute hands that feature a combination of greyish white and bright red Superluminova generously poured over black (probably oxidized) metal. Together, they match the color scheme of the timepiece making its overall impression that it generates more, um, holistic.

The dial of the RM028 Americas is, too, extensively skeletonized showing the baseplate of the self-winding movement. Normally, this sort of finish rarely works well when it comes to legibility, but in this example the mens Richard Mille copy watch seems to be readable enough for most circumstances.
