The mens Deep Blue Daynight 32 T100 diving replica watch brings you all features that you may expect from the American brand: impressive water resistance that makes suitable for real diving, sturdy body that was probably inspired by a sledge hammer, a reliable self-winding movement made in another country, and the usual set of tritium tubes that glow brightly virtually for decades without needing any recharging. Thanks to the chosen color schemes (the watch is available not only in traditional for this segment black and blue, but also in silver and orange dials), the watch will always be easily readable in broad daylight as well as in total darkness.
Ticking inside this watch is a Seiko caliber NH35 automatic movement. Although clearly not a rival to such a well-established work-horse as ETA 2824-2 or even its Sellita SW200 clone, the engine is still considered quite reliable and also features such nice (and rare in this price range) functions as hacking seconds (which makes it easier to correctly set the watch) and hand-winding: a good thing if you don’t plan to wear this timekeeper on a daily basis.
The “32” part of its name means that there are whole 32 tritium tubes in this bulky beast. Three of them are installed into the hour, minute and second hands, 28 more decorate the hour markers and the digital-style Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, and the last one sits tightly in the timekeeper’s 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel.
On the other hand, LUM-TEC employed the same movement in its $995 worth Bronze M54 Automatic model, so the man standing behind Deep Blue brand doesn’t look like he is charging way too much for this gadget. After all, the Gentle replica Deep Blue watch looks great, offers an impressive water resistance rating and can be used as a daily beater whether you love diving or just enjoy wearing it as a sporty accessory.

The thing that slightly bothers me is that Seiko uses this movement to power its new branch of entry-level models that are assembled in China, as does Invicta with its, for example, 8926OB Pro Diver model that costs just $80 USD, so it’s a little frustrating to see this movement animating a Sport Deel Blue copy watch selling for whole $500 (shipping not included).
